Cryolipolysis Frequently Asked Questions

 

Who is cryolipolysis suitable for?
For all those who suffer from unwanted fat pads in the abdominal and hip area, on thighs and upper arms, or – in case of male clients – also from padding in the chest area (so-called gynecomastia), which can barely be reduced by dietary measures and physical activity. However, please note that cryolipolysis is no weight reduction measure.
Is cryolipolysis painful?
When the fat pads are pulled in by the vacuum you might feel some kind of cold and/or pressure. However, this impression usually won’t last any longer than just a few minutes. The treatment does not require any (local) anesthesia.

 

 

After the treatment, you might feel slight pain in the respective area for a few days or even weeks. Temporary numbness or increased skin sensitivity have also been observed.

How long will it take until I can resume my normal activities after the treatment?
This procedure is not surgical. That means you will be able to resume your normal activities right after the treatment. You can also do all kinds of sports. This is one of the major advantages in cryolipolysis.
How many treatment sessions will I need?
A single treatment session will reduce about 20 to 30% of the fat volume exposed to the cold. Frequently, this reduction is perceived as sufficient. However, if so requested, additional treatments can be applied to same or a neighboring area to achieve an ideal result.
How long will it take until I see the results?
The fat is gently and slowly degraded within a period of up to three months. Consequently, it takes a little while and patience until the result of the treatment becomes obvious.
Are specific people excluded from the treatment?
If you experience any of the conditions below, the treatment cannot be applied to you:

 

 

  • individuals who over-react to cold, e.g. by so-called cryoglobulinemia or by cold agglutinins. Furthermore in cases of nocturnal cold hematuria and cold urticaria, which are extremely rare diseases.
  • during pregnancy
  • dermal diseases, inflammations and/or injuries/wounds in the area to be treated.
  • individuals who suffer from extreme overweight and seek to reduce their weight.
  • individuals who suffer from inguinal hernia or laparocele or underwent surgery for this reason within the last year (this applies to treatments in the abdominal area only).
What unwanted side effects might occur?
After the treatment, the respective area might be slightly sclerotic and sensitive to pain, similar to having sore muscles. Frequently, clients experience dermal numbness or hypersensitivity that may last up to two months.

 

 

In rare cases, bruises have been observed. In extremely rare cases the line between treated and untreated tissue is clearly obvious.

How much will the treatment cost?

The treatment costs amount to CHF 550,00 to 750,00 per each treated area. Twin- areas (both hips or thighs) will amount to CHF 950,00. Is several areas are to be treated we’ll grant you 10% discount on the total amount.
